Day 1:
Travel to Munduk, nice village nestled in the clove fields and coffee plantations.
Visit Tanah Lot temple on the sea with a beautiful view from the gardens overhanging the sea, often rough there. Continuation of the tour until Munduk.

Day 2:
Trekking around Tamblingan Lake in the coffee, clove trees and the luxurious forest. You will take a pirogue to go on the lake, you will admire the sunrise. A local guide will be with you. (additional expenses).

You will see the Munduk waterfall after a walk in the forest and you will bath into the cool water. After that, you will go through a picturesque road to Pemuteran, famous for its diving spots

Day 3:

A long road along the sea will lead you to the pier to go to Menjangan island: snorkelling or diving (additional expenses).
Then, the trip will continue by the visit of a small temple overhanging the sea and back to the mainland, you will do a trekking together with a local guide in the national park and possibly see deers and rare and endangered bird species (additional expenses).

You will drive to Lovina with a stop for a swim in the hot springs pool at Banjar and a visit to the Buddhist monastery on the hill that has a small replica of Borobudur temple (Java).

Day 4:
At sunrise you can take a boat to see dolphins out in the sea. Back to the coast, you can snorkel or dive (additional expenses). At the end of the morning, the trip continues to Singaraja and you will visit Biji temple overhanging the sea.

After that, the road will become steep and will cross small typical villages to reach Kintamani, facing Batur volcano.

Day 5:
4.00 AM, wake up and depart for Mount Batur climbing to see the sunrise from the top. With a local guide (additional expenses), you will cook your breakfast in the still hot lava.

En route to Amed, you will stop at Penglipuran village with a central street lined with traditional houses. You will then see Kehen temple, small replica of Besakih temple and mother temple for the Balinese. Lunch at Rendang, facing Mount Agung.

From there, the road will go through sirsak plantations and you will reach Amed, fishing village.

Day 6:
In the morning you can do snorkelling or diving or go fishing with local fishermen (additional expenses).

After that, trekking and going up 1800 steps to reach the 3 temples at the top of Mount Lempuyan. Nice view over the sea and Mount Agung. Night at your hotel in Amed.

Day 7:
After the visit of Tirtagganga with its gardens and many pools in Karangasem king’s palace, the guide will introduce you to a local guide to do a trekking (additional expenses). from Tirtagganga to Sidemen through small paths in the middle of rice fields. Night at your hotel in Sidemen.

Day 8:
Wake up at 1.00 AM to climb Mount Agung, the highest volcano in Bali (3672m) and sacred mountain for the Balinese.

In the afternoon, trip to Ubud through nice roads winding in the rice fields, Night at your hotel in Ubud.

Day 9:
After the visit of the Ubud king’s palace and trekking in the Monkey Forest, your driver will go to Tampaksiring where you will see a 11th century site, Gunung Kawi with its mausoleum to the queens and then head to Tirta Empul temple, sacred water temple. That water comes from Mount Agung and is used by the Balinese for their ceremonies; you will surely see Balinese dressed in traditional costume to bathe in the pools and carry on their head water cans filled with this water that they will keep in their family temple.

Then, the trip continues to Ubud through the Tegallalang terrace rice fields. A trekking there is easily feasible.

Day 10:
After a trekking in the rice fields of Jatiluwih (listed by Unesco), you will go to Batukaru temple in a jungle forest.
Back to the plain and the trip continues towards Taman Ayun temple (listed by Unesco), built in the 17th century. You will see the wonderful meru in the gods’ honour. You will pass the Western outskirts of Denpasar to reach Seminyak, sea resort. Night at your hotel in Seminyak.

Day 11: optional
Our guide will share with you his knowledge of the Balinese culture.

Batubulan: Great show with a sample of dances and legends in Bali in an open-air theatre.

Denpasar: Visit of workshop and batik school (process of drawing with wax and soaking in different dying baths and the fabric, batik, has just been listed by Unesco and ikat: hand woven fabrics on traditional looms.

Celuk: Manufacturing of solid silver jewellery at Pande’s workshops. You will admire the works finely embossed, Bali specialty.

Batuan: Visit of a traditional house, unique occasion to see how Balinese live daily.

Batuan: Pura Puseh temple-literally temple of the origins- has various pavilions and meru with floral decors. You will note an imposing turtle that symbolizes the temple stability as well as a pavilion with its roof decorated with paintings of the different gods; a gamelan is also exposed. You will be given explanations about the Hindu religion of Bali and its rites

At your own expenses: lunch proposed facing the rice fields, an occasion to discover-if you wish- the regional specialty of Ubud, bebek betutu, duck steamed in spices and rice husk. A tasty exotic experience.

Mas: Wood handicraft village. You will the various steps of wood carving from the log to the final work of art.

Mas: at the cemetery, your guide will explain to you the different rituals to the deceased, believes and ceremonies according to the castes.

Lodtunduh: You will painters specialized in traditional painting of Butuan as well as the one of Penestanan, famous thanks to the Dutch painters who lived in Ubud in the 30ies such as Ary Smith and his blue rice fields. A panel of all Balinese works are at your disposal, as traditional as figurative or abstract.

To end this tour, our guide will propose a cup of coffee in an agronomical garden where you will taste free of charge tea, infusion or coffee. You will try the coffee luwak, made with a rather strange process.

This tour includes an English speaking guide, an air conditioned new car, parking fees, petrol, lending of sarongs for the temples, a bottle of mineral water per person, umbrella. If the guide has to overnight far from his hometown, he organizes himself his stay, dinner and breakfast.

Are not included entrance fees into the monuments and donations in sites, lunches and dinners, hotels that you book on internet or chose at the end of every day with the guide according to a price level you will let him know and your personal expenses. The driver guide will have his lunch alone or together with you if you wish to take the opportunity of a cultural discussion.
